Weekly Segment on Kababayan Today on KSCI 18, Los Angeles
I have the singular pleasure of presenting Filipino history on television in a occasional segment on Kababayan Today, which airs Monday-Friday at 3.30 on KSCI, Channel 18 in Los Angeles. Titled, "Know History, Know Self," the segment aims to provide historical context for contemporary issues facing global Filipinos in the US. The brainchild of Giselle "G" Töngi--celebrated Filipina actress, singer, and content designing daredevil--these segments air on Wednesdays. Following their original airings, I upload episodes as they become available, from latest to oldest, top to bottom. Click on the drop-down menu above to view them, organized into 10-episode subpages. As with other episodes and parts thereof, these segments can also be found on Kababayan Today's website and YouTube. Towards the bottom of this page are my other appearances on the show as contributor, panelist, and even host! Long before I ever dreamt of being on the show, I was a big fan. Watch Kababayan Today and you will become one too!

"Fil-Am History Month with Historian Brandon Reilly” Movement (9/29/14)
My interview with G Töngi on the subject of global Filipinos and their relation to their history, on the occasion of Filipino American History Month, 2014.
Part one of our conversation argues for the importance of studying global Filipino history. Part two of our conversation broaches the topic of how to preserve history in general and why it is urgent to conserve Filipino history specifically. Part three of our conversation highlights the (often surprising) relevance of Filipino history to contemporary politics. Part four of our conversation exhorts Filipinos--and non-Filipinos--to study and continue to document the history of the Filipino people, a subject of universal relevance and importance.
